RoamAndTrip.com Refund Regulation

1. General Principles

RoamAndTrip.com ("the Platform") is committed to transparent and fair refund practices for all bookings made through our platform. This policy applies to travel products including flights, tour packages, hotel reservations, and custom itineraries.

All refund requests must be submitted through the official RoamAndTrip.com cancellation portal or customer service channels.

2. Refund Eligibility

A refund may be issued under the following circumstances:

  • Voluntary cancellation by the customer, subject to the refund ratio table below
  • Service cancellation by RoamAndTrip.com or its suppliers, in which case a full refund applies
  • Force majeure events, including natural disasters, government travel bans, or pandemics
  • Significant service changes, such as a flight time change of more than 3 hours or a hotel substitution to a lower category

3. Refund Ratio Table

The following tiered refund schedule applies based on the number of days remaining before departure.

Note: Deposits are generally non-refundable once travel planning or bookings have been initiated. A 3%-5% processing fee may also be deducted from approved refunds to cover payment gateway costs.

4. Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are processed according to the payment method and supplier workflow:

  • Credit or debit card payments: refund issued within 7 business days of approval
  • Bank transfers or other payment methods: refund issued within 20 calendar days
  • Airline-related cancellations: refund transferred to the customer within 14 days maximum after the Platform receives funds from the airline

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are strictly non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing:

  • Visa and documentation processing fees
  • Travel insurance premiums
  • Bookings marked as "non-refundable" at the time of purchase
  • Custom itinerary plans where the itinerary has already been delivered
  • Any bookings canceled within 7 days of departure

6. Force Majeure and Special Circumstances

In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, including natural disasters, war, or government-issued travel advisories, RoamAndTrip.com will issue one of the following remedies depending on supplier recovery:

  • A full credit voucher valid for a minimum of 5 years
  • A partial cash refund of up to 80%

7. Refund Request Process

  1. Log in to your RoamAndTrip.com account and navigate to "My Bookings".
  2. Select the booking and click "Request Cancellation/Refund".
  3. Provide your reason for cancellation and any supporting documentation.
  4. Our team will respond within 3 business days with a refund decision.
  5. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

8. Travel Insurance Recommendation

RoamAndTrip.com strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Insurance can help cover cancellation costs that are not recoverable under this policy, including last-minute medical emergencies or unforeseen travel disruptions.

9. Dispute Resolution

If a customer disagrees with a refund decision, the matter may be escalated through the following channels:

  • Live chat on the Platform
  • A formal dispute submitted within 30 days of the original refund decision

RoamAndTrip.com aims to resolve all disputes within 10 business days.
